Seriously guys/ gals/lbgqti's et al. Q&A last night certainly brought home the devastating reality of the bushfires.
Why not involve those who have been most involved? Some of the footage shown clearly showed some horrific situations. Fireies truck coming to a halt (overheating of braking system), absolutely surrounded by raging fires & flying embers, fortunately they had appropriate breathing equipment to assist them with escape. Many more horrific scenes were also shown. I've fought fires here in the West & never anything as severe as that lot.
Last night we had a first nation rep on the panel who obviously had a deep, scientific knowledge of containing growth, undergrowth, maintaning the land when, where & how we should go about controlled burning.
Please let's keep politics out of this for now. So many have to rebuild their lives & have been severely traumatised. Let's get on with the job in hand, give them a hand where you can. Sure, the big wheels are turning much too slowly & well done to Q&A for putting the message out there.
