The timeline is perfect for QPM by the time if/when it gets into production in 2024 and proves commercial viability around 2025. It only leaves 4 years for the patent to be usable before it expires which is a pretty short time frame from competition to go from concept to production. Once 2029 hits DNI will most likely become open source IMO. However, QPM has improved upon the patent by quite abit I could be mistaken but i don't recall Direct Nickel making HPA, i'm pretty sure QPM has added that into the process.

They are not getting hpa from DNI. They are getting Al by-product they say they will convert to hpa. No details on how that will occur as yet.
