that's not how cfds work.
cfds are a bet against the brokers money.
they do not go through the exchanges regardless of long or short.
only exception is if it is a DMA futures trade but again that is out of realm for most retail due to high leverage.
put it this way, have you ever got a chess statement?
if so, you've bought stock on margin. it wasn't a cfd trade.
