It is not normally allowed by the average investor/trader. Instos or brokers may be able to do this to accumulate at a certain level - purchasing 50 shares at a time to come to a higher total but for us who have brokerage fees we pay per transaction - normally $500 worth.
We had a private chat going and on another stock someone had multiple offers to buy but pulled them the next morning which in turn he recieved a phone call and email about his trading behaviour - so the powers above are watching.
