While I'm posting, there's a pennant forming on the hourly chart with a convergence point before close tomorrow. The breakout target is approximately 7.9c which we should see early to mid next week if it breaks out (entirely possible it won't quite hit it, but should still beat the recent high of 7.4c). Alternatively, if it breaks down, the target is 5.5c, which coincidentally is a support level...
I'm perfectly happy for the current consolidation, it's healthier than an uninterrupted rally. I wouldn't be freaked out about 5.5c although it would be a lower low and thus indicate a longer consolidation period is likely before we see new highs above 7.4c. Not the end of the world if we have to wait, and it would be a great buying/top up opportunity, but I'm also sort of greedy and crave that dopamine hit of a high price sooner, haha. Given the overall picture is positive it's easy to see the positives in either scenario, and the one less satisfying in the short term (retesting 5.5c) gives a nice buying opportunity and also a more complete consolidation, so honestly I'm not even sure what to hope for, but tomorrow should be an interesting day and tell us a lot about next week.
