I’m not using a stop loss per se- I’m using a rule that if my stock falls 7% below my buy regardless of technicals I’m selling.
i have just purchased Livermore’s book on audible and listening to him talk about not spending all of your dough in one go, but rather buy in lots, by only averaging up.
in the coming weeks I have two options with qpm - I can sell out if 20ema undercuts which is about my buy price or I can wait until I’m 7% below my buy in which is around .055.
contrary to this - if qpm goes above recent highs of I think 7.2c I will make another purchase.
i have been buying limit orders in afternoons at around 4pm
after watching days trade.
this trade I am doing everything the exact opposite of how I use to “speculate” - I don’t care what the ceo or who the latgest share holder is - or what the commodity projections are for whatever
if the stock isn’t going up / I’m not sticking around - period
