I have known many since 2002. They tend to blow up and dont last long. The main issue is that they have to use leverage to fund their trades. In the professional space this is easier as you can get new clients and run a book with cash flows coming in (ideally).
In 2002, it was FX trading. In 2009, I knew a lot in London trading precious metals, in 2017 crypto (sell in the morning and buy in the evening, so easy) and now in the covid times in Stocks. The figure via studies, put the number of successful day traders at 1 to 4%.
So let they scalp and momentum day trade QPM. If QPM does well, I do well. If not, I have made my initial investment back, so I will just move on.
