More people I speak about EV's are delaying their first EV buy as they are afraid the number of charging points are not increasing fast enough. No doubt, the increased installation of public and home-charging points will be supported by the authorities. But then, the next bottleneck will be the HV transmission lines. This system is not yet geared up for the extra load.

It will take a while before EV and home batteries are integrated in an intelligent distributed power supply system. A power supply system that on itself is increasingly is becoming a mix of classical and alternative power generating systems. All will benefit to use batteries to balance supply and demand. At that time we will see many more QPM (or equivalent) plants to feed the battery hungry world population. I feel comfortable with QPM.
