Anyone thinking of a capex of 1.2b-1.5b is dreaming. Being realistic, actual capex's are generally more expensive than they are reported to be initially, I think even with cost cuts and reduction of inflation, capex of 1.5-1.7b is much more appropriate (and I certainly would be leaning towards the larger figure). However, governments not limited to just Aus could definitely decide this is happening and throw money at it. I think funding will be no issue, rather just patience and waiting for news to flow. This project ticks all the right boxes, think it would take something really from left field for this not to happen
