QPM General Discussion Thread, page-1914

One councillor dominated questions; all answered by Chair or Officer presenting report.

Chair said everything we could want covered has been done in detail.

Report moved and seconded; voted on - two councillors against.

The first councillor against was scared about nickel tailings dam!!!
Did not read the report or have followed anything about QPM; incredible.

Second refusal was the councillor asking all the questions, first reasoning was around inadequate time to review the material, but as to planning reasons, had concerns about road transport to and from port, then storage pond dangers posed from flooding events; finally hadn't received a groundwater study (clarified by Chair as separate).

So I'm unsure how this works - does it go before the Council again to just to address the listed concerns?
