It may seem counter-intuitive, but I'm sure I recall SG saying it was easier to build our plant compared to a mine.
Sorry, at work, can't track that interview quote/release down.
Opening a mine often involves access roads, power/water infrastructure, camp accommodation, sterilisation drilling, infill drilling, finalising mine plan, remove overburden (let alone if it is an underground operation).
QPM have none of those concerns, bar some little asterisks (HPA Lava Blues, Lansdown access road cutting it fine).
Production ramp is a separate question, and very company-specific, depending on how intense the pilot work has been, to get the large-scale flow sheet humming. The Doc is unashamed of the money and diligence spent on the DFS and testwork supporting it, so IMO we'll be on the quicker end of the scale.
But at the end of the day, we're all just taking a shot in the dark
