Varian,s announcement of 10.3.03 recounts the sale of linear accelerator x-rays to the US customs service to detect the smuggling of,amongst other things,explosives.The announcement makes a claim of accuracy for the system.Their announcement of 13.5.03 relates to luggage as well as larger items.How an x-ray can tell the difference between a 44 gallon drum of graphite or say, a rare clay on the one hand,and different types of explosives on the other is beyond me.Perhaps I am reading too much into it. Do you still have PSD shares?I sold mine just before they broke out of the high teens to buy LUM.Be interested to learn what you consider a good buy these days apart from QRS,if it's not too much bother.
