    ASX ANNOUNCEMENT
    EXECUTES LICENSE AND SUPPLY AGREEMENT
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Board of Directors of QUIKTRAK NETWORKS LTD (ASX: QTK) are pleased to announce that it has executed an agreement to license the use of its patented DSSS technology and sell its third generation security network within the Republic of South Africa.
This milestone agreement is a significant step forward for QuikTrak as the company adapts its business model for South Africa to lower operational risk by selling network hardware and create maintainable revenue streams through royalty licence payments and transponder modem sales.
QuikTrak will adopt this business model on a Country-by-Country basis based on an assessment of operational risk and size of the capital investment required. Currently in Australia QuikTrak has built and owns its security telecommunications network.
The new agreement is with a South African security investment company. QuikTrak considered the South African security market warranted an experienced partner that would share the significant capital requirements of such a network rollout.
Under the terms of this agreement QuikTrak will receive multiple revenue streams comprising; an upfront payment on a per city basis; revenue for the supply of 200 of its third generation base stations; modem transponder sales revenue; and ongoing licensing (royalty) fees on a per month per customer basis throughout the 20 year term of the agreement.
This agreement marks a significant milestone in QuikTraks overseas expansion plans in delivering a long term, sustainable income base, whilst adopting a low risk corporate growth strategy.
As announced on 1st June the first shipment of equipment comprising the core of the Johannesburg network, which had been designed, manufactured and tested at the companys’ Adelaide development centre, has been airfreighted to Johannesburg, and it is expected that this equipment will be commissioned in July 2007.
