5 years ago during the dotcom i always suspected qtk of paying people to promote the stock on chat forums such as this. its nothing new and goes on in every country(espically america). they work in teams of between 3 and 5 and sometimes a lot more, usually only posting on the 1 stock. there's usually a leader (the guru) followed by the other rampers who are always patting him on the back. telling what a great call it was. the stock was investment grade. the company was going to make a fortune, the management were first class. the guru would threaten legal action against anyone who dared speaking against the company. he'd have connections he got his info from. etc etc, you get the idea how it works

that wouldn't be going on now would it?
