The following news regarding Quadtel's signing a Preferred Supplier
Agreement with Australia's second largest broadband ISPs, iPrimus, was
    released to the market today.

QUADTEL SECURES PREFERRED SUPPLIER AGREEMENT WITH iPRIMUS FOR ADSL MODEMS IN
    $1.5 MILLION REVENUE BOOST

“Quadtel secures crucial agreement with iPrimus, Australia’s second largest
    provider of xDSL services.”

Sydney 16th May: Quadtel Limited (ASX & CDNX: QTL) today announced that the
company has formed an agreement to be the preferred supplier to leading ISP
iPrimus for the supply of ADSL modems. iPrimus is Australia’s third largest
ISP with over 385,000 customers and is also the country’s second largest
    provider of xDSL services.

“This agreement extends and consolidates a valuable relationship with a very
successful ISP,” Rodney Orrock Chief Executive Officer Quadtel Limited said
today. “We have worked with iPrimus to introduce the innovative “Broadband
in a Box” mass retail product into Australia’s largest retailer, Harvey
Norman. With Quadtel’s extensive vendor partnerships, we can offer iPrimus
the best of breed quality ADSL equipment available and more importantly we
can provide choice. I should add that every modem that sells in the
Broadband in a Box product offered by iPrimus in Harvey Norman has been
    supplied initially by Quadtel.”

Under the terms of the agreement Quadtel will be the recognized preferred
supplier of choice to iPrimus for their ADSL modem requirements needed to
support their fast growing Broadband Division. The agreement is expected to
add over $1.5 million in revenue to QTL for the coming financial year given
    existing supply run rates.

Ash Chopra, General Manager for iPrimus said today he believed the expanded
partnership with Quadtel was mutually beneficial to both parties.

“Quadtel is an established, proven and experienced supplier / distribution
organisation. They have already brokered an important partnership between
iPrimus and Harvey Norman and this new agreement is further recognition of
the considerable value that QTL has delivered iPrimus over the last year,”
    Mr. Chopra said.

“Coming on top of Primus Telecom’s recent strong financial performance and
penetration of the Broadband market, iPrimus believes their partnership with
Quadtel will deliver not only high quality service but best of breed product
    choice and importantly, added value.”

Rodney Orrock said that apart from the expected $1.5million boost to Quadtel
’s FY 2002/2003 sales, the iPrimus deal reinforces Quadtel’s position as the
leading end to end distribution company in Australia.

“The challenge now is to maintain that position and continue our impressive
growth,” Orrock said. “However important deals such as this with iPrimus,
following so quickly on our recent expansion into the cable modem market
with Motorola, plus the exciting developments in China we recently reported
lead me to predict with confidence that we are on track to match our current
growth well into the new financial year.”
