The fx loss could be $36m
My numbers are as follows
31 Dec $639.8 usd for $620 aud
at $1.08 $630.8 usd = $584 aud
While this is a paper loss, it still needs to be recorded.
We will just need to be careful in the P & L for the half year and look at underlying profit, not headline profit.
