Can you please tell me how this company is good value with a market capitalisation above half a billion dollars. this rumoured announcement had better be fantastic to justify the massive amount of shares that are held in escrow. i'm not having a go at you but if you are going to recommend these shares i believe you need to address the massive market capitalisation it currently holds!

you are kidding aren't you. you've picked 3 stocks that went up purely on hype and came crashing back to earth with a thud and came fairly close to collapsing in the case or erg. those 3 stocks, soh, kyc, and erg rightly came back to more realistic prices so are you arguing the same case with qtm. l
let's say qtm do have 2 massive contracts in the pipeline and their market capitalisation is currently $700 million. if we were to give them a price to earnings ratio (per) of 15 which is fairly generous they would have to be earning profits after tax of $46 million year in and year out and also be growing the business rapidly to justify the per of 15.
the contracts would therefore need to be well over the hundreds of millions of dollars to ensure pure profit of $46 million each year.

I think I understand what you are saying, that ERG KYC SOH were all overvalued much like QTM is now, but took a long while to crash back to fair value, so that makes QTM a good buy? I'm convinced.

im really not exaggerating here. They cant affored electric or gas heating in many parts of china. If you have been to China a lot of it is 3rd world like, but quickly developing. Developed amazingly in the last 10 years, and the grwoth likely to accelerate even more so in the next 10 years. So I see one contract there is so much bigger than anything we have here in australia, however there are contracts here that will be announced too. I am putting my money on China though

I had a look at their web site, trying to find more information on the patents they hold but I had no luck. Obviously with the enormous potential of this company they must hold unique intellectual property otherwise there would be no barriers to entry into their plum markets....if the company is going to be as profitable as the market capitalisation would suggest, unless they hold unique technology they face any number of competitors undercutting them and reducing margins.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the patents Quantum holds as this is the key to their future? Thanks in advance.

I have been to China and recommend companies don't do an business there because of the red tape.
These so called deals could take years to come off.
When do the shares come out of escrow.

Any body who expects to make real money out of any public company doing business in China needs their head read ! - the only money that will be made is through any over extended valuations an un informed market puts on that company's shares . The only people who make money out of Australian companies doing business in China are the Chinese ....and that usually thru corruption....oh I forgot the directors and senior managers who enjoy flying and eating usually manage to cream it as well. So dont worry any QTM holders ...if you are in the money on your stock ...relax ....just dont hold them too long .

what a silly post I know many successful businesses here doing business in China. Many have partnerships with the Chinese. I am involved in one, which is a shoe business, used to manufacture in Italy, transferred to China, where labour costs are cheaper and even the finished product is is manufactured in a quicker and more reliable way. There is no reason to doubt the Chinese, this smacks of racism

The difference is in your shoe business it is relatively small business and you are buying a product/service , not selling one . There is nothing particularly racist about my earlier statement , it just happens to be a fact of life - there aren't many Australian public companies that have made money trying to sell products or sevices into China. Good luck with your QTM's you might make some money as the story is swallowed by the wood ducks ...the big Chinese market story allways sounds good ..... I will be very very surprised if QTM makes any real money as a company.

It's one thing to export from China, making profits in western economies but trying to get remote, poor chinese to buy simple technolgy they can steal and reproduce themselves .. at probably 1/10 the cost!

You don't really understand the product gominer. It requires electricity to power the refrigeration unit to heat the water. Cheaper than an electric hot water system but not cheaper than a gas hot water system. One other thing if bell potter are giving you hints of an announcement I would call that insider trading. I am not down ramping the co. They have taken a very tried and true refrig. system and have used it to heat water. Great idea. Just like a few supermarkets who use the heat given off from their refrigeration systems to warm their stores in winter. IMO you are just ramping the stock for your own benifit at the expense of others not so switched on to how the markets work.
