Residential broadband is my field and it is beginning to boom locally, although huge capex is required for each network rollout - it's virtually bypassing Telstra's customer access network with new plant or exploiting the Telstra copper for DSL. Billions of dollars will be spent and a fair whack on customer premises equipment such as QTL handle. There will be other players though.
