As for tenements granting time...who knows. some tenements are granted early, the latest E47 tenement granted was E47/1821 from FMG (and an iron ore tenement too) was applied for on 30/05/2007 and granted 28/02/2008... hmmm 9 months granting for a large iron ore tenement. I guess it would depend on the area applied for, etc, like any environmental or native title concerns?.....
E47/1871 hasn't even been recommended for grant by the mining warden yet.
