ASX ANNOUNCEMENT – CELLESTIS LIMITED (CST)
QUANTIFERON-TB GOLD LODGED FOR REGULATORY APPROVAL IN
JAPAN
Nichirei Corporation of Japan, the distributor of QuantiFERON in Japan, have
advised Cellestis that they have lodged an application with the Ministry of
Health, Labour and Welfare for QuantiFERON-TB GOLD (registered as
QuantiFERON-TB2G) to be approved for sale as a tuberculosis diagnostic in
Japan.
Neither Nichirei nor Cellestis can offer any warranty as to how quickly
approval may take, and approval is not guaranteed, but it is unlikely to occur
within the calendar year 2003.
