PANORAMA Synergy has partnered with Quantify Technology to provide its LumiMEMS sensors for use in smart buildings.
Quantify Technology is building a platform for intelligent building solutions. Under the agreement, Panorama Synergy will develop and supply a range of sensors to be included on that platform.
The agreement includes the exclusive supply of sensors, collaborative technology development and joint marketing of the LumiMEMS technology to the global market for intelligent buildings.
The LumiMEMS sensors will initially be used to monitor air quality and environmental factors, but will see their role on the platform expanding to cover pathogen or virus sensors, as well as a range of health monitoring sensors that could detect if building occupants were suffering from a variety of health conditions.

Quantify has already secured initial forward orders, including the use of LumiMEMS sensors, of approximately $2million for its technology to be installed in developments around Australia, with the first deliveries due by the end of 2015.
Panorama Synergy will supply air quality sensors to be included in Quantify’s power management and control systems, to be installed during calendar year 2015.

The next generation of intelligent buildings being developed by Quantify will provide real-time evaluation of environmental and risk factors for occupants as well as proactively manage services and utilities to ensure the highest levels of efficiency are achieved.
These building will not only inform, but assist people within the building to proactively manage their environment, and with real-time intelligence, also self-manage when a building is not occupied.
Quantify’s solution uses interchangeable face plates and feature modules, allowing new technologies to be swapped in and out in a modular fashion without the need for a complete device replacement or rewire of the building.
Simple to install, the solution can be retro-fitted into any standard light switch fitting or power outlet, and does not require any additional wiring to be installed.
As a distribution platform, this deal could eventually see LumiMEMS sensors in every light switch and power outlet in smart buildings.
The extreme accuracy and sensitivity of the optical based LumiMEMS sensors, which are small enough to be easily integrated into Quantify’s devices, will allow the platform to monitor and measure health factors, environmental factors, and provide increased security.
