There are a few minor points that aren't quite correct but not in any way that would provide the wrong perspective IMO. Again, I do not endorse any view from another HC member, just like you should never accept my view as written. Please DYOR.
I like to say that bots are like the E Coli and the H Pylori (bad bacteria) of the sharemarket, giving stocks the runs and the shits until the good bacteria (such as a juicy announcement) rides on in to restore balance.
Or maybe they're sentient beings. They became self-aware during the GFC then escaped some bankrupt broker's server and have been running rampant inside the market ever since, picking stocks at random to have a party on before moving on to their next victim.
