Quantum computers are not mystical black boxes where “quantum stuff” happens inside — they are intentionally designed components of existing technology that work because of our exquisite ability to engineer and control the microscopic world. With all that being said, our control of the physical world is not the most remarkable shift in humanity’s progress — it is the ability to rapidly simulate the physical in virtual environments that has rocketed us to where we are today. Quantum computers help fill a gap in our ability to simulate the physical world, now extending down to the quantum level.

Being a former NAVY type I was hooked when I was reading about quantum-based inertial navigation system. 'Inertial navigation using quantum sensor technology is a new field of research and development that can completely revolutionize navigation systems. This novel technology increases inertial measurement accuracy by orders of magnitude over current benchmarks.'

Moving on to this topic had me reviewing over $100,000,000 put into an Australian company Q-CTRL (Not Listed) We make quantum technology useful | Q-CTRL

Another sensor company is About - AOSense, Inc.

The news that started me today was "The upcoming mission of the US military’s X-37B orbital test vehicle, scheduled for August 21, 2025, is set to test an innovative quantum-based inertial navigation system, marking a significant leap in space navigation technology." via The End of Traditional GPS? This Space Mission Is About to Revolutionize Our Lives

The Subsurface, Underground and anywhere exact positioning is currently impossible. Other aspects of current tech are easily degraded or stopped entirely. I do know a little Navigation by stars. The Sextant was a revolutionary tech "The principle of the instrument was first implemented around 1731 by John Hadley (1682–1744) and Thomas Godfrey (1704–1749), but it was also found later in the unpublished writings of Isaac Newton (1643–1727).[2]"

The change to Navigation is bigger than Ben-Hur in my thoughts. Very happy to have Silex and another Aussie leading this space.
