Metcash tips H2 earnings jump
Grocery distributor Metcash spiked 14c, or 7% to $2.10 ($1.99-$2.10). It said today that second half earnings were expected to be 35 to 40% higher than the $31.1 million the company booked in the previous corresponding period. This came after it posted a 43% jump in interim net profit to $38 million, with sales rising 21% to $3.2 billion.
