I did my physics in the 70s. Perhaps the scientific consensus has moved on but as I recall it all sub atomic particles are comprised of energy. Therefore all matter is just assembled bundles of energy. Nothing is really 'substance'.
I still cant get my mind around magnetism. I know how it works but what is it? Two objects seperated by a piece of paper can exert enough force to be dragged around my desk. How are they in communication?
