I didn’t say it last time, mainly because of the overhang of Covid and the foolish belief of many that the government had “saved” them from the epidemic. I am saying it this time, strongly — mark my words, there will be a change of government in Queensland in October next year. Labor in Queensland is beyond salvage, even if they decide to throw out the Chook and appoint a new leader. And if Albanese, Bowen etc don’t change tack quickly, there might well be a change of federal government in 2025 — impossible though that seemed 12 months ago. I’d rate it currently a 40% chance, but the odds are tightening by the week.
