Miles and his mob will be booted out in ten months’ time — nothing surer — opening up the possibility of some genuine reform to Queensland’s extortionate coal royalties regime. But that’s a possibility only, not a given; the business lobby and the mining sector now need to put some serious (but sensible) pressure on the current Opposition leader, David Cristafulli.
