If I had doubts about the company it's a simple case of selling out and deploying the capital elsewhere. There are >5000 ASX stocks to invest in and that is just 1 asset class.
I note that they did a round up of fund managers on minemoney and virtually all said iron ore would be the under performing asset of 2024, but it's so bid. One could hypothesize that if high rates break something and stimulus is required next year it may come in the form of infrastructure spending as opposed to printing, this may account for a biddish tone to a number of commodities.

The December quarter report will likely not be the best. A lot of capital investment in removing overburden from Ellensfield not yet matched with coal production much just yet. Some painful writeoffs. The March Quarter should include climbing sales from Ellensfield to add to Beaconsfield, at a time hopefully of good coking coal prices. Maybe into the black then. Not that far off.
