As for readily saleable concentrate no smelter worth their salt will take highly contaiminated gold concentrate full of sulphides and other nasties. If the tailings are inert all the nasties will be in the concentrate as the only way to remove such is using HARMFUL chemicals in the CHEMICAL FREE flotation tanks Jonu has explained!!
