Also, my mistake from my earlier post.
As discussed in previous posts, it makes a joke of the so-called continuous disclosure regime.
See the wording of the announcement from 3 October 2008:
"Assay results are now being received and will be reported in the upcoming quarterly report."
We either have a regime of real time reporting or we don't if I'm not mistaken. Waiting until the quarterly doesn't cut that interpretation: even if it doesn't fit with what's going on in the market at the time.
That said, if the company can get away with it, good luck to them. ASX's problem, not UMC's.
