Firstly, I wanted some oil and gas exposure in my small portfolio.

I actually had a bid in prior to the Starfish result, but never got hit, then luckily avoided the fallout when it didn't deliver. Have been largely focusing on gold stocks since then, and have cashed in some profits. Came back to TAP in the last couple of days and threw a bid in at 51c around lunchtime, not really expecting to get hit quite so soon.

I've been taking on board some of the commentary on this thread, and would have to agree with the general sentiment that TAP is pretty cheap, given the expected earning stream commencing next year. Seems to me that TAP is pretty much being overlooked by the market, given many O& G stocks have been on the up and up lately, so would expect TAP to play catch up sooner or later.
