When you do your tax return it will be factored into your marginal tax rate. If you have paid more than required under your marginal tax rate you will get a cheque from tax man with the difference, if you owe the tax man you will need to pay him. Smartmoney.gov.au income tax calculator is a good start to understand what tax they will expect from you, from that you can work out what you have already given them.
