I'm really not sure why a market cap would have any bearing on whether or not a company has the ability to exploit future projects. Unless I am mistaken isn't market cap calculated by number of shares on issue x share price? Does it not disregard cash on hand and/or credit available? Perhaps the lack of news could be something to do with a well earned break over the Christmas/New Years period. The last quarterly will be out by the end of the month, that will paint a much clearer picture.
