You are correct. T-Mall charge a holding deposit anywhere between $25-50k USD simply to open a store on their platform. This is one of the reasons why the site is so trusted by consumers as they are aware of the stringent set up process and significant financial outlay by brands/manufacturers in order to sell on there.
There are also yearly fees involved with maintaining a store on T-Mall however I believe the majority of this outlay and workload is front loaded at set up.
