smartdude, I am just stating some clear, undeniable facts about what happened in the past. Some info that was known to the insiders for a month or two and they traded short on the info. I am sure management cannot control every nook and cranny of info. And I am not saying management is dishonest. I know (based on what happened) that inside info was traded upon. So somebody was dishonest. And my belief is that it was NOT senior management. But somebody. The reason I think it was not senior is they did actions and timing that minimised / hurt the insiders timing. And I appreciated that. But (again, I state) there are insiders, sharing info, and people trading.

But, in fact, +90% of the ASX companies do trade a fair bit on inside info. It is a fact of life. I would say in my many years of investing the vast majority of companies traded in an 'odd, unexplainable' direction from time to time... then after the strange movements (up and/or down) info was 'announced' that justified / explained the strange behaviour'.

Just one that happened to me the other day... ACG. The share price oddly fell about 20% over a few days. Then came the announcement that product sales expected had not eventuated. (then it fell another 15%). So trading shares on the ASX simply based on KNOWN info is like fighting with one arm. You can be OK, but you are up against it.

This is just a fact of life. And all experienced people know this and accept it. You will say 'why don't you document to ASIC'. In my early days I tried, but they really don't care. So I just accept it as a fact of life.

So... when I see BDR FLAT over 30 days when POG went up and almost all other gold shares I follow did go up, that tells me something UNUSUAL is happening with BDR trades. I guessed initially the option converters need to sell to pay tax? Then I also agree MacBank may leave because they have lost their contact to inside info (I just 'guess' they were the recipients). In fact you can hypothesise it was MacBank, because the two events I know most well involved refinancing - and the market bad news announced around them.

    Enough said. We will see.
