Why shoiuld they waste their effort to control 100% of the company??? They already controlled the LMR & the cash !
So why negotiate to accumulate any more shares at all? Only way they're going to get full control over the asset and the cash is to attempt a takeover. I can't see any other reason for them to increase their stake.
