quarterly reports

Why do so many expect them to contain any new earth shattering information from the company ..

Dont get me wrong , I am by no means claiming to be an expert

This has been one of my bugbears for quite a while ..

Do posters use this as another tool for ramping ..

I see, very so proclaimed posters also expecting Good News with the Reports ..

But, as I have stated on another Thread..

Quarterly reports are a summary of 3 months previous activities that should have already been announced as they have occured ..

Only surprises if any, should be in the cash flow accounts, but nothing else that was or was not Announced at the appropriate time ..

I know that some companies also use the reporting deadlines to defer or delay market sensitive Anns until the deadline ..

But I dont believe they can be included into the quarterly report
