If you are connected to a wifi connection ( a device NOT normally mobile unless you have a mobile Hotspot in your pocket lol)
Your connection is static meaning it's connected and doesn't move (OMG I can't believe I'm saying this I don't even hold NOR)

So you can move from room too room, stand on your head, have a bath, sit on the toilet it's the same.

If you were connected to a cellular 2g 3g 4G then everything above changes due to phone signal (reception you know the little bars on the top of your phone, yes you also have them on your wifi too but unless your in a led walled room your wifi will carry through your residence if not add a bridge router and extend your reception.
