It's a dispute with a distributor. They cancelled the agreement and the distributor will be suing for damages. AVH say the case is without merit and they expect to win.
The political system in Hongkong is tied to mainland China, obviously this is the case since the british left and reuinification occurred. However the regional legal system in Hongkong is more developed than others in mainland china so that is good for proper process and hearing of the dispute.
As the distributorship agreement was cancelled there should be no obstacle to getting set up in China. However the system in mainland china is often opaque. Whether something gets up or does not can depend on connections.
