It takes the Analysts a few days to change recommendations. You may have suffered a bit of Premature Evaluation here........
You also said on 14th that this write down would not happen
"NCM had a 6 billion dollar write down however they are the largest gold mining company in aust and the most heavily weighted when it comes to fund managers allocation of funds. NCM has also been having production issues for a while so I write down was always on the cards and when the price of gold dropped a write down was really a necessary thing to do.
Slr on the other hand has no production issues and is progressively ramping up production and growing as a company. This is on top of a rising gold price that seems to have bottomed out?
I personally don't think that slr needs to have a formal write down given".
