For people concerned about acid strength, a process plant making acid starts off with low strength acid and this strength keeps building up as the process runs for longer. The acid making process generally involves dissolving a gas into water and the process does not produce full strength straight away. If the IHP plant did not run for long enough to build up strength, then they would only have got weak acid at the point at which they stopped the run.
The positive point though is that the acidic gases were produced and the gases were dissolved in water to produce acid.
Since the IHP process is the first of this kind, they have no reference to other plants to see what issues they would have. So they are learning as they go along, and making corrections to address any issues they are facing. This is to be expected, since this is a scale-up of a lab scale demo plant.
It may take time, but the results so far are promising. Stay in the stock if you have the patience, sell if you do not. You need to follow your own investing criteria and apetite for risk.
