Cab, there's been quite a few supercritical units ordered and recently commissioned moving the Indian power industry on from subcritical days. A good starting point to research would be through research of recent contracts awarded and carried out by Alstom / BhEL for power units in India .

There's zero ultra-supercritical boilers currently in Indai , and all plants currently in construction or planning are for supercriticals; apart from 1 which is proposed for a 800Mw plant in Chennai from memory

IGCAR, Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd (MIDHANI) and Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) have only recently ( within the last 2 years ) come up with the two alloys, stainless steel 304H and nickel based super alloy 617, that they consider best suited to USC units.

IGCAR, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) and NTPC have joined hands to design, develop and build advanced super ultra-critical boilers.

IGCAR will design , BHEL will manufacture the boiler along with other equipments while power generator NTPC will be the end user to produce power.

Bottom line though, is that the current roll out is for supercriticals , not Ultras as they are still in their infancy; boiler units don't become obsolete in just a couple of years; for example , how old are the sub units in LY??

it will be quite a few years before India eventually roll over to USCs ; most here will most likely have moved on by then
