A brief report in 'The Australian' business section on Friday 13 January 2023 had bankers at UBS stating a survey the company conducted indicated there was no sign of Australian consumer spending declining (in real terms).
If true, it bodes well for QUB, as it suggests imports of consumer goods through the ports won't be declining as fast as what became overstocked retailers in late 2022 would suggest.
