One other rail line temporary closure due to NSW's wet weather is between Waterfall and Thirroul (north of Wollongong) on the South Coast line.
Given the crosscountry line from Moss Vale to Unanderra is closed until August for repairs (see above), at present there's no rail access from Melbourne or Brisbane to/from the steel works at Port Kembla, meaning the QUB steel trains to Melbourne cannot operate.
I've not been able to establish when the Sydney - Wollongong line will fully reopen but it 'may' be by Easter Saturday 16 April 2022. One hopes so.
