This just out from the Motreal Press...The Montreal Chamber of Commerce wants Quebec to go ahead but says that Quebecers are used to be afraid of change. Need to work on the perceptions and attitudes.
Shale Gas: Quebec is "not ready", J. SECOR - 14 September 2010
(Montreal) The Montreal business environment is tired of the status quo and wants to convince Quebecers to accept a change. First challenge: the controversial issue of shale gas.
The report suggests the Government of Quebec to make several important changes such as reducing debt and leave more room for private health. But his finding is more urgent to convince Quebecers to accept change. "We must stop being afraid. We are a society frightened by change", said Michel Leblanc, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, the report calls" lucid "adding that" there has only Quebec, where a defect is to be lucid".
"It takes a new Quiet Revolution" said Marcel Côté, SECOR. There is an attitude problem in Quebec. If you do not believe that the success and jealous people who have it will not be successful. We must stop being defensive. You can change a society by a coup or revolution, or rather by working on attitudes".
The first record on which the Chamber of Commerce has work on is the mentality of the exploitation of shale gas in Quebec.
