More a boat sleep than a boat trip golden!
It’s permanently moored.
We caught a sea plane over from Tofino - the surfing town, and stayed only two or three nights for the hot spring at the end of the board walk (where you have to clamber down and wedge into one of the small pools) and the lovely little boat.
On one side we stayed at the Tofino Motel - simple and efficient and a bit old fashioned, with a lovely little garden out the window, and on the other took a highly rated air bnb on Chesterman beach - more than a walk out of town.
The air bnb was glossily ‘perfect’ but there were plenty of others along that stretch and the beach was amazing - sea mists and rocky pools carved out of sea-polished green stone… and a big old hotel on the end.
The town had a great bakery and that special atmosphere you get in places where the locals live in the place lots of tourists want to visit.
