katters party (even though bob katter is not standing) is the big spoiler in this election. their candidate in the ashgrove electorate (campbell newman LNP v kate jones ALP even though she doesnt use ALP or labor in her electioneering) is standing for Katters party because he wasnt selected as the LNP candidate and having spat the dummy is now giving preferences to the ALP ( maybe a 3 to 5% leakage to the ALP in this electorate but it will be significant). Across Queensland,with optional preferential voting, Katters party will deny an LNP victory with results over 10 to 12 seats probably giving the seat to labor by the back door or a "one nation" outcome with Katters members promising everything to everyone and forming a hung parliament.
