Recall when Newman came in to Government in Qld? He discovered there were up to three "pen pushers" for every one front line Doctor or Nurse in the Health system. And let's not mention the billions of dollars wasted on a defunct payroll system they were advised not to touch!
Labor had Hospitals turning sick people away and some were left laying in corridors for hours on end with no attention. At least on person had even died while waiting for a Doctor.
The LNP turned that around by removing the dead wood and putting the saved money back in to Doctors and nurses and front line staff. No more ramping or turning sick people away, and the waiting time for operations on the public system plummeted to a mere few weeks.
Labor has returned to the those days now with Hospitals turning sick people away, leaving them laying in corridors and waiting times have blown out again on average to over a year...and that's with them employing hundreds more "pen pushers".
It is a great ploy by the ALP to employ hundreds, even thousands of unnecessary public servants to boost their vote come election time...
