I disagree there ------------- with some - yes, agree - with most -na
runs of forests of paperwork are normally from people who have either nothing better to do or more like people preparing a bit of paper to make sure that it's someone elses problem - arse covering.
it's also like (exactly like really) - a medical cascade of intervention - or a cascade of intervention in many problem solving processes
you have a problem - so, you put in an intervention -
that intervention (lets assume it solves the problem) - creates 3 more problems
so - you began with 1 problem and you end up with 3 (1 solved, 3 made)
you then put in 3 interventions to fix the 3 problems
you solve the 3 problems (if lucky) - but, you create 3 more for each one solved - result
you now have 9 problems - and on and on and on it goes
does that sound like paperwork??
yep ----------------- want a good example?
look no further than the tax laws -
what, say 50 years back was a pile about 100 mm high - is now two stacks about 2 metres high - as potholes have been filled and then, those pothole repairs made more potholes
in many areas we don't seem able to avoid the cascade of intervention - medicine is famous for it - paperwork ditto, laws - ditto. and IMO - if we stuff around with changing climates - ditto
IMO - any complex system at a guess - in a complex system - change one tiny thing - and, you get chains of reactions ------------ some of those changes will be good - meaning - you don't have to do anything - and, some will cause problems - meaning - you feel you have to do something - and, when you do -------- !!!!!
nature seems to do it with a reasonable level of harmony - mankind makes a hell of a mess of it
