QLD govt has today announced scrapping the 8c feed in tarrif but anyone with a 44c feed in tarrif still gets it.
Essentially your 5kw solar system might produce 2okw per day, you might use 10kw.
The extra 10kw you don't use will go to your neighbours who don't have solar and the power companies get it for free and then charge them at 26c or so per kw so make $2.60 off of you every day of the year or $800.
This is a scam by the qld government, does nothing to look after the envorinment and is a rip off for those who have recently put in a solar system. The only people getting looked after out of this is big business. The majority of the guys in the solar industry will be sacked as of today.
